Synopsis: Beach entrepreneurs Ben (Aaron Johnson), a peaceful and charitable Buddhist, and his closest friend Chon (Taylor Kitsch), a former Navy SEAL and ex-mercenary, run alucrative, home grown trade—raising some of the finest marijuana ever produced. They also share a one-of-a-kind love towards the extraordinary beauty Ophelia (Blake Lively). Life is idyllic in their Southern California city…until the Mexican Baja Cartel decides to maneuver in and wants that the trio partners with them. As soon as the merciless head of a BC, Elena (Salma Hayek), and her brutal enforcer, Lado (Benicio Del Toro), underestimate the unbreakable relationship among these 3 friends, Ben and Chon—aided by the reluctant, slippery assistance from the dirty DEA agent (John Travolta)—wage a likely unwinnable conflict versus the cartel. And so starts a series of progressively vicious ploys and maneuvers within a top stakes, savage battle of wills.
